SpryPanel Documentation | 4.3. User Privileges

In SpryPanel each user can have access privileges that are specific to them and only them. This can be done when you initially create a user, for a single user or for a group of users. it is all done in a similar manner, the only difference is how you get to the privileges grid. If you add a user, then you will be immediately presented with the privileges grid. If you want to edit an existing user's privileges then click the 'edit user' link from the file view page. To edit a single users privileges select the user you want from the drop down menu and then click the 'edit user' button. To edit the access privileges of multiple users at the same time, check the names of those you wish to edit in the bottom half of the window and then click the 'edit multiple users' button.

Once you have reached the privileges grid, its relatively self explanatory. If you want to grant the user access to a particular you check the corresponding box for the page that you want to give them access to. there are also a few extra options. All of the access options are described below.
Content editingPer page: Allow the user to edit all of the content for that page, including static, list and any plug-ins on that page.
Add sub-page to topicPer page: Give the rights to add a sub-page to a topic page. This option is only applicable on topic pages.
Edit page designPer page: Let the user modify the page variables in SpryPanel through the 'edit page design' link on the file view page.
Delete pagePer page: Grant the ability to remove a page from SpryPanel
Add new users to SpryPanelIf set the user will be allowed to add new users to SpryPanel and modify their access rights (not super user, if the user doing the editing is not super-user).
Edit user detailsAllow the user to edit the access privileges of other users. Same conditions as 'add user' applies here.
Add new topicsIf checked the user will be able to create new topic pages in SpryPanel (child pages of the index page). They will also have access to add sub-pages to any topics they create.
Super userGive the user super user access to SpryPanel, i.e. complete and unrestricted access. They can do anything! Please note that this option can only be granted on a per user basis, and not in a group edit of user access privileges.
