SpryPanel Documentation | 4.2. Adding / Editing User Preferences

To add a user to SpryPanel, you must have the necessary access privileges, in the form of either 'super user' or have had a super user give you 'add user' access (note that if you are logged in with the user name that you created when you registered SpryPanel, you are automatically a super user). If you do have the correct access rights, to add a new user, you just need you click the 'Add new user' link on the file view page. From there you will be taken to a page which will ask you to input a user name and password. There are also options for first and last name, but these are not necessary.

There is also a grid underneath those fields, which is the access privileges grid, explained in section 4.3 of this documentation. Once you have given the user the access rights you want them to have, you can click on the 'add user' button and the user will be registered with SpryPanel. The new user will immediately be able to log-in to SpryPanel like any other.

To delete a user from having access to SpryPanel on your site, click the 'edit user' link from the file view page and then select the user you want to delete. At the bottom of the privilege grid is a check box that you can check to delete the user. then click the 'edit user' button and the user will be removed.

Once a user has been granted access to use SpryPanel, when they log-in they will be able to click the 'Personal preferences' link from the file view page. From there they will have the option to change the theme that SpryPanel uses from them, to any of the installed themes on your system. Once a new theme have been selected, you will need to log-out of SpryPanel and then log-in again. Themes are explained in section 3.5 of this documentation.
