SpryPanel Documentation | SpryPanel WYSIWYG editor
SpryPanel provides a What You See Is What You Get (WYSIWYG) editor for
easy and familiar content editing on web-sites. The wysiwyg editor
provides an interface and features similar to Microsoft Word and other
word processors and gives you feedback of text size, colour, links,
pictures etc live in the editor.
The SpryPanel wysiwyg editor
is different from all other text input content elements in that it uses
it own interface, and not the functions in the standard content editing
menu. Icons around the side of the editor provide content editing
options and are shown in the figure below.
If you find that
the wysiwyg editor window is a little to small for content you are
editing you can click the 'edit in full window' link at the bottom of
the editor and a full size window will open with a large wysiwyg editor
for easier positional of pictures and text.
You can also view
and edit the html that the wysiwyg editor creates by clicking the 'view
code' link at the bottom of the editor.
Please note that the wysiwyg editor makes extensive use of javascript and therefore doesn't support a few browsers. Microsoft Internet Explorer and Mozilla based browsers are fully supported, however Apple's Safari is not. In the few browsers that don't support the wysiwyg editor a standard text box is displayed so editing can still take place. Also note that creating tables wysiwyg style is not supported by Internet Explorer at this time.
